About Maya
My name is Maya, and I’m a hardworking, trustworthy 13-year-old straight-A student currently in 8th grade. I take pride in my ability to explain things clearly and make learning enjoyable for younger students. I’ve always loved school—especially math—and I enjoy helping others feel confident and successful in what they’re learning. I’m responsible, kind, and easy to talk to, and I always make sure my students feel supported and heard. I’ve worked with elementary and middle schoolers before, and I know how to break things down in a way that makes sense. I believe learning should be fun, not frustrating, and I always do my best to create a positive and productive space for every student I work with.

Hi! I’m Maya, a 13-year-old straight-A student in 8th grade who loves math and helping others understand it too! I tutor elementary and middle school students in topics like basic math, fractions, decimals, word problems, and pre-algebra. My lessons are fun, stress-free, and focused on helping you feel confident. I like to explain things in different ways, use real-life examples, and give step-by-step help until everything makes sense. A typical session includes a quick review, new material or homework help, practice together, independent practice with feedback, and a short recap at the end.
