About Sherry
As a teaching assistant, I believe to be a role model that cultivates in young people’s minds and the belief in ones capacity to make positive contributions to society. I am working in an independent school as a teaching assistant
for year 5's and I am fully aware of the 11 plus process as we do prepare children for their future schools. I have also worked a Higher level teaching assistant for Lanchester Community Primary School for two years.
To me, the role of the teaching assistant is an important role to hold. It brings a lot of interesting challenges and the idea of working with one pupil/number of pupils to develop their natural skills is really what I look forward to when at work. To me working with children of this age is significant because I think this is the age that they are the most impressionable so teaching them correctly now is more important than at any other time
By working within these different childcare environments, I have become familiar with the planning and organization involved in providing childcare to a variety of age ranges and needs. Right now looking for a tutor role that helps me broaden my horizons and do something different! Looking forward for online opportunities where I can teach and help children reach their full potential!
