About Alessandra
Hi there! My name is Alessandra. I just finished my post-bac to apply for medical school, and along the way, I realized that I love teaching! During my post-bac, I became the TA for my school's Organic Chemistry classes. As a TA, I reviewed complex content and broke it down into simple concepts for easier understanding. I also have individual experience tutoring high school and college level Biology, Chemistry, Biochem, and Physiology.
Additionally, if you are looking for an MCAT tutor, I would love to give you some simple tricks and fool-proof ways to get comfortable with the AAMC content.
No matter what subject you are studying, I will be an enthusiastic and supportive teacher that prioritizes complete understanding and comfort with a topic before moving on (you won't ever catch me asking you to memorize anything except for maybe amino acid structures).

Here's some info about me as a tutor!
I like using an active teaching method--I won't ever bore you with non-stop lectures. Instead, we will work through problems and concepts together.
A typical lesson plan depends on which subject you're focusing on: gen chem, organic chem, bio, biochem, or MCAT test techniques:
- Chem lessons can include foundational concepts, ways to understand and apply them, and practice problems.
- Bio lessons will include different examples of applied concepts, question walk-throughs, and connections to current research.
- MCAT prep can include walking through passages together and reviewing general tips/tricks.
I am excited to work with both high school and college students. Whether you are an impassioned bio major or just taking chemistry as a requirement, we can form a good team!
