About Lara
I am currently an Undergraduate at Cardiff University studying Dentistry in my second year. Therefore, I still have a lot of knowledge in science, as first year was heavily based in Biosciences.
Before Cardiff, I grew up and lived in Cambridge, where I obtained 8A* (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English Lit, English Lang, History, French and Religious Studies) and 2A (Geography and Physics) at GCSE. I then continued on to do Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A level, obtaining ABA.
I enjoy teaching; I have a TEFL qualification and previously taught tennis to an age range of 3-13. Before my dental pathway I had considered teaching as a potential career. I have volunteered at my local nursery and was chosen to be an anti-bullying ambassador at my school.
I achieved an A for Extended Project where I wrote a dissertation on general health implications of periodontal disease and how it affects the whole body., so I am able to help in dissertation writing for EPQs or any other projects. I can also help in writing personal statements and applying to dental/medical school.

My teaching methodology is based on patient and friendly tutoring, helping the student to learn skills they can use for a lifetime. I believe in helping the student learn a methodology for different types of questions so that they will be able to complete similar questions in the future.
