About Hrutika

Hello! I'm Hrutika, a dedicated and experienced tutor specialising in 11+ preparation and GCSE subjects, particularly Maths and Further Maths, and all primary school education. I have achieved 10 grade 9s in GCSEs, including top marks in Maths and Further Maths, I am passionate about helping students excel academically. I am currently a 1st year undergraduate studying at Imperial College London - UK’s best university and 2nd in the world.

As a top grammar school student, I understand the importance of quality education and the impact it can have on a student’s future. By tutoring, I can make a positive difference in the lives of students, guiding them through critical academic stages such as the 11+ exams and GCSEs. With over a year of experience tutoring GCSE students, I have seen first-hand how effective teaching strategies, such as spaced repetition and active recall, can lead to academic success. About the lesson

Teaching Methodology:

My teaching methodology incorporates the proven techniques of spaced repetition and active recall. Each lesson begins with a 10-minute test to recap the topics learned in the previous week, reinforcing knowledge and ensuring retention. I then move on to the new topic of the day, followed by practicing exam questions specific to the targeted high school for 11+ students or the relevant GCSE exam board.

Every few weeks, I conduct a comprehensive review test that combines several topics along with a different set of exam questions to solidify understanding and improve exam readiness.

Lesson Structure:

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes
First 10 Minutes: Recap test on previous topics
New Topic Introduction: Thorough explanation and exploration
Exam Practice: Targeted questions for high school/GCSE board
Periodic Comprehensive Tests: Combined topic review with new exam questions

With over a year of experience tutoring GCSE students, I have developed a methodical approach that builds confidence and academic success. My lessons are tailored for both 11+ students aiming to secure a place in top grammar and private schools and GCSE students striving for top grades.
