I try my best to lead the student to the answer without directly doing all of the work for them. Usually I do similar examples to the problem we're working on. I also try to make sure the student gets a better understanding of the logic behind the methods needed to solve the problems instead of telling them to memorize formula x, y, or z without knowing why those formulas work the way they do.
