About Alistair
I am currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Exeter.
My interest in Mathematics and Computer Science extends beyond my studies. I founded and led a robotics club that took part in a competition hosted by the University of Cambridge and completed work experience in statistics at the Big Data Institute at the University of Oxford.
I am continually developing new programming projects to expand my skills and explore emerging technologies. My most recent project involved building an AI model to predict NBA player performance.
Outside of academics, I enjoy running, learning martial arts and playing the piano.
I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for Mathematics and Computer Science with my students and helping them develop confidence in subjects that I am genuinely passionate about.

I am currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science at a Russell Group university, where I achieved a First Class grade in my first year.
I tutor GCSE Mathematics, GCSE Computer Science and 11+ preparation in Mathematics and non-verbal reasoning, with over three years of experience helping students improve their confidence and achieve excellent results.
I have helped GCSE students exceed their predicted grades by as many as three grades, and I have supported 11+ students in gaining places at leading independent schools.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have experience working with students of different ages and abilities.
At A-Level, I achieved A* in Mathematics, A* in Computer Science, A in Further Mathematics and A in Physics.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each individual's needs, goals and learning style. I aim to make lessons engaging and enjoyable, as students learn best when they are actively involved and interested.
Rather than relying solely on memorisation, I focus on developing a deep understanding of topics. Modern examinations require students to apply their knowledge to unfamiliar problems, so building strong foundations helps students both achieve higher grades and retain what they learn.
