About Alex

I’m a laboratory analyst working in quality control. I have experience working in both microbiology and chemistry labs, giving me a broad range of knowledge. I have a degree in biology from Butler University with a focus on environmental sciences/ecology. I have a wide understanding of many fields of biology, including Microbiology (lab and field), Ecology, Entomology, Evolutionary Science, Anatomy/Physiology, Zoology, Botany, Cell Biology, and Exercise Physiology.

About the lesson

I excel at one-on-one communication as it allows me to focus my attention on the individual’s needs as opposed to taking a general classroom setting approach. This allows me to accurately gauge what the student needs the most help with, what they learn and understand quickly, what is more challenging to them, and what their preferred methods of learning are. My experience has given me the ability to teach in several different ways. Not every student learns using the same approach and they do not all learn at the same pace. With a one-on-one approach I can ensure the student is learning the way that best suits them.
