About Romy

I am a fourth year University of Cape Town student, studying towards an Honours degree in Economics. I have been tutoring for three years now and have found that students consistently see an increase in final year results. I love teaching and aim to help every student I teach reach their full potential. I also love to get to know students, find out about their hobbies and skills, and integrate these into the learning process. This makes the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.

About the lesson

I prioritise student engagement and understanding in my lessons, with use of methods that focus on a total grasp of the content. I can speak Afrikaans at a high school level, with 83% achieved in final NSC results. I am also available for Maths and English tutoring.

I tend to structure my lessons with my explanation of the content first, then provide mock test questions for the student to practice with. Along the way, I make sure that the student is explaining the method they're undertaking. I teach students from Grade 4-10.
