About Dakota
I am a current Chemistry and Computer Science sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley.
I tutored in nearly every subject for 3 years during high school through afterschool programs and various businesses but tend to be best at the physical sciences and mathematics. I teach with the goal of creating a great foundation for the student to understand the subject beyond memorization and in a way where they can learn to teach themselves.

Lessons will be tailored to a student based on their eventual goals and current curriculum as well as the student’s learning needs. I can make short lessons, slideshows, practice problems, and practice tests to help a student adequately prepare for the class they are in.
I believe every student is different and deserves to learn a subject from a place of understanding and not memorization. As such, I will primarily focus on a conceptual understanding or problem solving methods applied to a subject rather than memorization.
Lastly, time, subject, and method of teaching are flexible so please reach out. I will also request a few items such as textbooks or worksheets to help plan my lessons around the curriculum.
