About Kirsten
I have been a special education teacher for the last 9 years. Three years teaching resource and 7 years in a self-contained classroom. Prior to that, I homeschooled my child who had severe anxiety. I have vast experience in teaching kids with various learning disabilities and kids who are severely impacted by autism, Down syndrome, and traumatic brain injuries.

My lessons will be focused on the needs of the students. The first couple of sessions will be a lot of observations, quick assessments, getting to know you so that I can best help you. Once a baseline is established we will set goals together and create a plan to help you learn the skills you need to be a successful student.

Details
I will meet at whatever location is most comfortable for you. However, to help offset the price of gas there is a transportation fee for in home sessions. For a flat fee of $20 I will meet you in a public location such as a library or other quiet location. I will also offer a reduced cost of $17 for online.
