About Yuenne
I am a recently-graduated Undergraduate student, with a BA of Psychology from York University. I have classroom experience in a variety of positions, including mentoring as part of Peace by PEACE, an outreach program that teaches conflict resolution to elementary students in the GTA and another outreach program working to provide basic English speaking skills to underprivileged children through phonics. I have also held a position as a teaching assistant at a special needs center, focusing on play therapy to work with kids with learning disabilities.

My teaching methods are based on what the students require. I aim to help develop the skills that the student requires, by employing the use of phonics to develop reading and speaking skills, as well as increase overall vocabulary. A typical class would include a reading and writing portion to develop writing as well as grammar skills, and a conversational portion to help develop confidence in speaking and increase vocabulary.
