About Matthew
I have 16 years of experience as a classroom teacher. My master's degree in educational leadership is from UNT. I currently work as an adjunct professor with TWU and Argyle High School, which has a great reputation as a high-achieving institution. I have a great reputation with my students and fellow staff members. Altogether, I have a solid knowledge of the subject area and a knack for connecting with my students.

I've taught English Language Arts since 2009 at all grade levels from 5th to 12th grade. Currently, I'm a dual credit instructor with TWU and Argyle High School. - My methods vary greatly depending on the age and skill level of the student. I prefer to assess them before crafting lessons to meet them where they are. - I'm happy to work with students of all ages, but I typically prefer middle and high school students since most of my experience is with older students. - I'm friendly and can usually find things in common with my students. I'm able to maintain professionalism while employing a laid-back and easygoing tone throughout the lesson.
