Hi! My name is May (they/them) and I love art of all kinds! I am currently a TWU art education student, but previously I majored in painting at UTA. I am active in the local DFW art scene, and I have 8 years of experience in oil painting.

My typical lesson plan typically includes:
1) Creating a warm-up realism painting of a subject of their choice.
2) A journal/talking break to draw up new ideas for pieces, sketch if desired, or study a certain art topic.
3) Starting/continuing an ongoing piece to be due every 6 weeks
I specialize in middle-high school ages, but I love working with elementary too! I teach basic to advanced skill levels.
I believe in fostering a kind, understanding, and encouraging environment for my students! Artistic critiques are offered for ages 15 and up.
