About Andrew
I am a materials engineering graduate from the University of British Columbia. I have taught math, physics, reading in classroom settings and have worked with children teaching skiing and sailing.
I believe that learning can and should be interesting and fun and strive to give students understanding and appreciation for concepts.

I believe that learning is best done through conversation, critical thinking, and via curiosity.
Typically I learn and teach by attempting exam material and focusing on weak areas. I find that formulas and redundant practice is tedious, inefficient, and inflexible therefore I aim to teach understanding of concepts instead of rules and steps.
I am an extremely flexible teacher, I have worked with children 5-18 on various subjects. I have years of experience teaching children with and without learning disability. I understand that everyone learns differently and am quite responsive and adaptable.
