About Hisham
I am a medical student who has always had a genuine passion for teaching and helping others reach their potential. Teaching has always been one of my favourite ways to revise, as explaining concepts to others helps me strengthen my own understanding while making learning more enjoyable. I love seeing students gain confidence and have that “lightbulb moment” when something finally clicks.
My own academic journey has also taught me the value of hard work and effective study techniques. I went from achieving Grade 5s in Year 10 to achieving multiple Grade 9s in Year 11, so I understand that your starting point does not determine where you can finish. I want to use my experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to support students, make challenging subjects feel more manageable and help them achieve grades they can be proud of.

I can help you build your confidence, strengthen your understanding and develop the exam skills needed to succeed.
I offer tutoring in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English, History, Geography and Computer Science, as well as A-Level Biology and Chemistry.
I achieved A in A-Level Biology and A in A-Level Chemistry*. At GCSE, I achieved grade 9s in Maths, History, Biology and Chemistry, alongside grade 8s in my other subjects. I also offer Ucat and interview tutoring with access to official interview questions from many universities for med and dent.
However, my grades didn't happen overnight. In Year 10, I was achieving around Grade 5s, and through consistent work, effective revision and improving my exam technique, I was able to push these grades up to Grade 9s by Year 11. This experience gives me a unique understanding of what it feels like to know you are capable of achieving more, but not necessarily know how to get there. I can use the strategies that helped me make that progress to help you achieve your own goals.
I have also tutored students previously and have experience teaching others through numerous teaching sessions at university. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, approachable and adaptable teaching style. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my sessions around the individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an upcoming exam, aiming to move from a Grade 5 to a 7/8/9, or already achieving highly and want to push towards the top grades, I can help.
My sessions can include clear explanations, worked examples, exam questions, past papers, revision strategies, active recall and exam technique. I focus not just on helping you memorise information, but on making sure you genuinely understand it and know how to apply it in an exam.
I believe that a Grade 5 does not define what you are capable of achieving. With the right guidance, strategy and consistency, significant improvement is possible — I know because I've done it myself.
