About Ethan

I'm currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University (commencing 2026). I sat the UCAT recently as part of my own medicine application, which means I know exactly what the current test looks like — the timing pressure, the question styles, and the strategies that actually work under exam conditions. That recency is something no textbook or generic prep course can replicate.
My broader academic background speaks to the kind of analytical thinking the UCAT demands: ATAR of 99.70 (Top 0.3% of Victoria), three High Distinctions in the Australian Mathematics Competition, a Mathematical Olympiad High Distinction, and High Distinctions in the Science Talent Search. I approach problems systematically and teach you to do the same.

About the lesson

My UCAT coaching is entirely personalised. We begin with a diagnostic across all five subtests to identify exactly where you're losing marks, and every session from there targets those areas specifically — no time wasted on subtests you've already mastered.
For Verbal Reasoning, I teach speed-reading strategies and trap-word identification so you stop second-guessing yourself under time pressure. Decision Making is taught through visual logic diagrams and Venn mapping, making abstract syllogism and inference problems concrete and repeatable. Quantitative Reasoning coaching focuses on pattern recognition and calculator efficiency so you're not slow on the questions you actually know how to do. Abstract Reasoning is built through visual rule-detection systems and timed drills that train your eye to find patterns quickly and confidently. Situational Judgement is grounded in a clear professional values framework — you'll understand the reasoning behind correct rankings, not just memorise answers.
Every wrong answer in every session gets a full explanation of what the right thinking looks like. We practise under real timed conditions throughout so that exam pressure feels familiar rather than overwhelming. Between-session questions are always welcome at no extra charge.
Sessions run 2 hours (standard) or 3 hours (intensive). Available evenings and weekends. Can be combined with MMI preparation if you need both.

His Physics and Chemistry logics are equally outstanding which would benefit his students. I highly recommend Ethan if you want your teenage children to do well in maths and science subjects.
