About Paul
I am a second-year Electrical & Electronic Engineering student at UCD with several years of experience giving grinds. I achieved 613 points in my Leaving Certificate, including H1s in Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and French, as well as a H2 in Applied Math.
I began tutoring while I was in 6th year and have continued since then, working with both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students at Higher and Ordinary Level. I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult and showing them that challenging topics can become much more manageable when they are explained and broken down in the right way.
My engineering degree has further strengthened my mathematical and problem-solving skills, particularly in Math and Physics, while my own recent experience of the Leaving Certificate means I am very familiar with the exam system and the pressures students face.

I offer a personalised approach to tutoring, as every student learns differently. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s strengths, weaknesses and preferred way of learning. As I get to know each student better, I can tailor sessions more effectively and help them get more from each lesson.
Lessons typically last between 1 and 1.5 hours and can be held either in person or online. I have been giving grinds since the beginning of 6th year and I am now in my second year of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at UCD.
I teach both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students and have experience working with students at both Ordinary and Higher Level.
I achieved H1s in Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and French, as well as a H2 in Applied Maths.
