About Michael
Hello, I'm Michael, an MSci Astrophysics student at UCL, spending a gap year at home before my final year. Maths and physics are what I study every day, and I enjoy helping other students see that they are far more understandable than they first appear.
I am patient, well prepared and honest about progress. My aim is for you to leave each lesson understanding something you did not before, and to feel more confident about your exams. Your first lesson is free, so you can decide whether we are a good fit.

Lessons are one hour, one-to-one, online with a shared whiteboard, for students in Years 7 to 11 taking Foundation or Higher GCSE Maths. The first session is a short diagnostic, so we find the topics costing you marks. Each lesson then follows the same pattern: a recap, one new idea explained with a worked example, then exam-style questions that you try while I watch. I send a summary after every lesson. I'm a UCL Astrophysics student with A*AA at A-level, a year of volunteer Further Maths tutoring with the charity Tutor the Nation, and a 3 week school classroom internship through Get Into Teaching.
