About David

I'm an incoming MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at UCL, having just finished my A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, subjects I’m predicted A*AAA in. With offers from some of the UK’s most competitive universities, I bring both strong academic credentials and a genuine passion for STEM. Outside the classroom, I’ve applied my knowledge in real, impactful ways. I designed and prototyped a biomedical research project that’s received attention, and I built my personal website entirely from scratch using core Computer Science principles. While I can't share links here, a quick Google search should lead you to it if you're curious. My experience goes beyond exams and textbooks. I’m constantly exploring how academic concepts connect to the real world. That perspective lets me give students more than just subject knowledge; I help them develop confidence, curiosity, and the kind of critical thinking that leads to success far beyond school. I'm also experienced in mentoring students through supercurricular learning. Whether that’s guiding them on independent projects, helping with university prep, or just expanding their interests beyond the curriculum. About the lesson

I’ve gained a strong foundation in tutoring through a range of experiences, both formal and informal. I've supported Ukrainian refugees in Maths, Science, and English, helping them prepare for entrance exams at selective grammar schools in my area. I have also worked with my school to achieve Leadership Skills Foundation's 'Foreign Language Leader Award', privately tutoring younger students at my school in foreign languages. Tutoring sessions with me typically last 50 minutes to an hour. My teaching methodology is suited individually to each student to accommodate their educational needs and to work to their strengths. My focus during tutoring sessions is to build deepened understanding of the topics at hand while covering broad curriculums of information.
