About Rawan
- 9 Grade 9's at GCSE including maths and English language
- A*AA in maths, further maths, physics respectively
- 2 years tutoring experience
I started Further Maths late and had missed the entire Core Pure 1 book. In my first test I received a grade D. I had to catch up on missed content, while learning new content alongside my classmates.
The part of the physics syllabus that I enjoyed revising was electricity - this left me with a grade C after January mocks (the mocks before my A-level exams).
I improved my subject knowledge through both subjects through focused practice, writing down clear methods for repetitive questions, and a lot of determined practice.
I realised quickly that advanced subjects have very few accessible online resources, so I knew I had to build my own ways of understanding and breaking down difficult topics.
I achieved grade A's in both subjects and got accepted to UCL (my firm offer).
I’ve experienced the pressure of being behind, the frustration of confusing content and the feeling of being overwhelmed - and I learned how to stay calm, structured and efficient.
Now I help students who feel the same way I once did, teaching not just the content but how to approach questions, recognise patterns, build speed and stay confident even when the subject feels impossible.
