About Veronika
Hey, I’m Veronika! Originally from Ukraine, I’ve lived in the UK for the past four years, studying and teaching to make other students’ lives a little less stressful. I graduated from the IB Diploma Programme with Higher Level Mathematics, and I’m now studying Business Management at UCL (with plenty of accounting and maths involved — so trust me, I know your pain!). Having been in your position before, and as an international student, I understand the challenges of learning Maths. I achieved a grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics, and I want to help you not only reach that level but exceed your own expectations. I have one year of experience teaching Maths and two years of experience teaching the English language, which has given me the skills to adapt my teaching to different students and make learning both clear and enjoyable.

The lesson's main focus is to make Maths understandable by breaking down complex concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations. I adapt my teaching style to each student, using past papers and exam techniques to strengthen both understanding and confidence. Having recently gone through rigorous exams myself, I understand the challenges students face and know how to explain topics in ways that truly stick. Lessons are typically 50–60 minutes long, with flexibility depending on the student’s needs and exam preparation. I teach GCSE Mathematics students, typically aged 13–16, whether aiming to secure a solid pass or striving for top grades.
