About Lyn
I am currently a Mathematics and Physics student at UCL. I have developed a strong understanding of how to make maths both fun and satisfying, which I believe comes from building a solid foundation in the subject. This approach is equally important in other logical subjects, like physics, where understanding the basics allows you to tackle complex problems with confidence.
I have always found it incredibly rewarding to help my friends and students grasp difficult concepts in a simpler, more intuitive way. There is a unique satisfaction in seeing someone’s “lightbulb moment” when they suddenly understand an idea they previously struggled with. I especially enjoy guiding them to approach problems more efficiently, showing them shortcuts and strategies that make challenging topics manageable. Knowing that I can help someone feel more confident in maths or physics, and see them succeed in solving problems on their own, is what makes teaching so fulfilling for me.

Each maths tutoring lesson typically lasts one hour. Before the lesson, I will assign homework tailored to your needs, focusing on areas you find challenging and topics that are essential for achieving high grades in exams.
During the lesson, we will:
1. Review any homework questions you struggled with to clarify mistakes and strengthen understanding.
2. Refresh your memory with a quick starter question from the previous lesson.
3. Move on to new material, building on what you already know.
This repetitive, structured approach ensures that previous lessons stay fresh in your mind, making it easier to understand and master new concepts.
