About Roopam

I am a patient and structured tutor who enjoys helping students understand technical subjects without feeling overwhelmed. I completed my Master’s degree in Information Security at University College London and bring nineteen years of experience in cloud platforms, data engineering and security. This combination allows me to teach complex topics in a practical and simple way. I have mentored learners at different stages, from school students beginning Computer Science to adults preparing for career transitions into tech. My strength lies in explaining ideas clearly, breaking down complex concepts and showing how they connect to real scenarios. Students often tell me that my approach makes difficult topics feel manageable. I believe in building confidence through clarity. Many learners approach Computer Science or Cybersecurity with hesitation, and with the right guidance, they start to enjoy the subject and progress steadily. About the lesson

My lessons are structured to make complex computing and cybersecurity topics easy to understand. I use a clear, step-by-step approach that works well for students who want strong foundations in programming, networking, operating systems and security. Each session begins with a short recap to check understanding, followed by focused explanation, guided practice and hands-on tasks. I use real examples from industry and simple analogies so students can connect theory to practical situations. I also customise every lesson to match the student’s learning needs, pace and goals, which ensures steady progress and relevant, targeted support. A typical lesson lasts one hour, with longer sessions available for project guidance, exam preparation or advanced topics. I adapt the structure based on what the learner requires.
