About Helena
UCLA Anderson MBA and Cornell B.A. in Economics with extensive experience in business and finance. At Cornell, I tutored for 3 years in the Economics department's tutoring center, focusing on introductory micro and macro. In my free time, I also taught science topics to elementary/middle school students in the Ithaca area, earning Cornell's Educational Volunteering award.
My professional experience includes working as an economic consultant for The Brattle Group to provide economic analyses in support of lawsuits (monopolization cases, business valuations, mortgage-backed securities damages, transfer pricing) where I gained hands-on experience applying econometric models and a holistic background in finance. After attending UCLA Anderson's MBA Program in Corporate Finance, I worked with both early-stage startups and Amazon to apply big data analytics to deliver insights for driving a company's strategic plan.
With the combination of my passion for economics, professional experiences, and lifelong interest in teaching, I am very enthusiastic to help you reach your learning goals!
