About Alida
Having taught students of all ages, and worked professionally in theatre for the last 20 years , I have an efficient but fun way to help students understand works that are far from our modern ears. My education is a BA from UCLA, where literature and understanding the classics was imperative. I have a lifelong love of the materials and would love to help you or your student.

Do you need some help decoding that Shakespeare play or sonnet, or figuring out what on earth is going on in the Greek play your teacher assigned? I can help. Sometimes the best way to understand these classics is to act them out, talk them through, and find their relevance to us today. Being a classically trained actor in these very plays and pieces means I’m uniquely skilled in analysis of these works, and we’ll have a good time learning them too!
I’m best suited to help out middle school and high school students, as well as first and second year college students.
