About Frank
I’m a 2021 UCSB graduate (go Gauchos!) with a Computer Science major and a Physics minor, who spent three years as a software engineer before discovering my true passion: teaching. After over a year at New Oriental Education, I’ve learned to demystify AP Physics, Calculus and English with patience, clear explanations and the occasional light-hearted joke. I tailor every lesson to build confidence, spark curiosity and help young learners thrive.

Each lesson is a dynamic, hands-on journey tailored to each student’s goals. We start with a quick warm-up—sometimes a physics puzzle, calculus brain-teaser, or language game—then review prior material to ensure a solid foundation. Next, I introduce new concepts through real-world examples: modeling projectile motion to illuminate AP Physics principles, mapping rates of change to everyday phenomena in Calculus, or exploring news clips to strengthen English reading and speaking. Guided practice follows, with problem-solving sessions or role-plays that mirror genuine challenges, and I wrap up with targeted feedback and tailored exercises to reinforce learning. With a Computer Science major and Physics minor from UCSB—and a TOEFL score of 108—I bring technical depth, creative flair, and a knack for linking theory to life. My lessons cater to high school students aiming for top AP scores in Physics and Calculus, as well as younger learners building a strong foundation in English.
