About Ammaarah
I am a recent University of Cape Town BCom (Economics and Finance) graduate.
I have been giving economics lessons to high school students since my first year of university, and have tutored first-year university Economics for the past two years. I am available to tutor any economics student ranging from high school (secondary) level up to first-year in university.
I believe that the most important part of being a tutor is seeing you make an impact on a student's academic career. Passing down knowledge, skills, little hacks that you've learned along the way.

My teaching philosophy is simple: cater to the student.
In class and in lectures, students are bundled together as one and therefore are taught that way. However, what schools and institutions fail to recognise is that each student has a different learning style - be it visual, aural, verbal, etc. And this is the root of the problem in which students leave these learning spaces having learned nothing.
I am geared toward every kind of student. With my individual lessons, I design a personalised learning plan that will be adjusted to your academic needs. Whether you are a visual or auditory learner, I start off by covering one concept per lesson in a way that will suit you. My lessons are fun and interactive; starting from the explanation of the concept that will be covered and then moving on to applications and exercises.
