About Billy
I’m Billy, a UEFA B licensed football coach with over 12 years of experience working with players across different ages, levels and football environments. I’ve coached across four continents and currently work in player and coach development in Abu Dhabi.
I’ve always been interested in helping players understand the game, not simply telling them what to do. I believe the best coaching helps players become more confident, independent decision-makers who can recognise and solve problems for themselves.
I enjoy working with young players because every player is different. My aim is to understand the individual, identify what will make the biggest difference to their development and create an environment where they feel challenged, supported and able to express themselves.
I’m particularly passionate about helping players understand the “why” behind the game, so that what they learn can transfer into matches rather than staying within a training session.

I’m a UEFA B licensed football coach with over 12 years of coaching experience, specialising in youth player development spanning across 4 continents. I work with players to help them understand their game, identify areas for improvement and become more confident, independent decision-makers on the pitch.
Sessions are personalised to the individual rather than following a generic programme. We can work on technical and tactical understanding, decision-making, positioning, movement, scanning, 1v1 situations, passing and receiving, or specific positional requirements.
I can also analyse match footage to identify patterns in a player’s performance and turn these observations into clear, practical development objectives.
Lessons are suitable for grassroots, academy and ambitious youth players. Sessions can be adapted to the player's age, position, experience and individual goals.
My approach is supportive, challenging and focused on helping players understand why they should make certain decisions, rather than simply telling them what to do.
