About Janusz
I am a junior Mathematics student at the University of Illinois Chicago and previously completed an Associate in Arts with a Mathematics pathway at Moraine Valley Community College. I have over a year of professional tutoring experience at Mathnasium, where I worked with students from elementary school through college-level mathematics. I am patient, dependable, and comfortable adapting my explanations to different learning styles. My long-term goal is to become a mathematics professor, so teaching and helping students build confidence in math is something I genuinely enjoy.

My lessons focus on helping students understand why a method works instead of simply memorizing steps. I usually begin by identifying where the student is struggling, then break the topic into smaller, clearer parts using examples and guiding questions. Once the concept makes sense, I work through practice problems with the student and gradually have them solve problems more independently. I adapt my explanations to each student’s learning style and pace. I tutor students from elementary through college level in subjects including algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and other mathematics courses.
