About Max

I have been on the school's math team for the past two years. I have scored over 110 on the AMC 10 in the past two years. I took the hardest math classes my school had to offer as a junior. I have scored 4+ on every math AP exam I've taken. Now, I take AP Statistics as a senior. I placed nationally in Math Kangaroo before. I speak Russian and was in RSM for a long time myself. I can drive to most towns in the Boston area.

About the lesson

My lessons are rigorous, but they work. I know that your kid has it in them to succeed, so I don't spend time convincing kids to learn. I will push your child to succeed with what I call my 3-step process. A typical lesson lasts around an hour. -I start by reviewing the homework I assigned last time and going over any concepts my student might have missed. -Next, I help the student with any homework they might have been given at school; I will not do the homework for them, but rather have them walk me through every problem, and if they get stuck, I intervene then and help. -After, I explain any topics my student is struggling with and assign them personalized homework (about 1-2 hours a week). My dad has been teaching me math in his free time since I was a little kid, so I don't think there's an "earliest" age to start.
