About Jennifer
I am a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst pursuing a PhD in geology. I like to consider myself part engineer as well. Through the course of my education, I've taken many math, physics, and engineering courses. I've been a teaching assistant for several geology classes, and tutored math at the middle school level.

I base my teaching method on what worked well for me as a student. I prefer one-on-one or small group tutoring. As much as possible, I try to add activities to help students grasp concepts. This is a little more difficult for maths, but science classes can definitely be more hands on. I'm comfortable tutoring levels from elementary to intro college level for science classes (physics, earth science/geology, and very introductory chemistry) and up to calculus level math classes.

Cancellation policy: Cancel at least 30 minutes before lesson without paying lesson cost. If canceling within 30 minutes before your lesson, I will ask for you to pay the lesson fee to reimburse me for my time lost (Basically, if I haven't left my house yet, I don't mind if you cancel last minute).
