About Izzie
I'm a second year undergraduate at York who has always loved maths and puzzles, with a particular interest in pure maths and proofs. I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-level, and passed my first year of undergraduate study very comfortably. While I'm not completely sure of what I would like to do after achieving my degree, teaching has always felt like a good option, and I found myself enjoying all of my experiences with it, despite the challenges. I think mathematics is one of the most fundamental subjects, so it's in my best interest to help people achieve their potential in such a unique and powerful subject.

I will provide personal tutoring in whichever topics are providing trouble, as well as checking knowledge through past papers and markschemes in order to personalise targets and achievements.
My previous experience includes work experience providing in-class support to year 7s for an hour a week during year 13, as well as recently completing a Government led teaching internship, which provided some training and practical experience.
My lessons are for:
-Year 7 and 8
-GCSE Maths and Further Maths
-A-Level Maths
-Those not in education who would like to improve everyday mathematics proficiency
And will last 30 minutes to an hour, depending on student preference.
