Hi! I’m Alyssa, a college student and self-taught guitarist with a deep love for music. Learning on my own taught me a lot of patience and creativity, but I also realized how helpful it would’ve been to have someone guide me along the way. That’s why I enjoy teaching beginners — to make learning guitar easier, clearer, and more fun. My lessons focus on building confidence through simple techniques, real songs, and steady progress. I create a relaxed, supportive environment where students can enjoy the process and see real improvement from the start.

My teaching method focuses on building a strong foundation in rhythm, technique, and musical understanding. I combine hands-on practice with simple theory so students not only play songs but also understand what they’re doing. Lessons are structured around:
Learning basic chords, strumming patterns, and finger exercises
Developing good hand positioning and smooth chord transitions
Playing along with real songs to build confidence and motivation
I adjust my approach to each student’s pace and interests whether they prefer pop, rock, or acoustic classics.
I focus on making learning fun and frustration-free. Many beginners struggle with sore fingers, complex terms, or slow progress — I help students overcome that by using real-world songs they love and step-by-step techniques that build confidence quickly.
I also emphasize progress tracking and personalized lesson pacing, ensuring each student feels improvement after every class.
