About Kiya
I’ve always loved school and worked hard toward my goal of earning my associate’s degree while still in high school. That drive helped me graduate with over 70 college credits at 17. But I’m not just about academics—I also love sports and playing instruments, so I understand the importance of balance between school and personal passions. Because I know how to manage time, set goals, and stay disciplined, I can help students not only improve in math, STEM, and college prep but also learn how to balance their own busy lives. I’m dedicated, smart, and have plenty of time to tutor students who want support in reaching their goals.

I understand the challenges of balancing school, college prep, and future goals—because I’ve done it myself. I attended an early college high school, excelled in online learning, and graduated at 17 with over 70 college credits. That experience taught me not only advanced math and STEM, but also how to be strategic in choosing classes, managing workload, and setting up long-term success.
In lessons, I combine traditional teaching methods (clear explanations, structured practice) with strategic approaches (study hacks, efficient problem-solving, smart class planning) so students don’t just learn content—they learn how to succeed. My goal is to build both confidence and independence so students feel ready for high school, college, and beyond.

Please book sessions a few days in advance so I can create a personalized study plan. Students are expected to bring their own books and materials. My availability works best on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekend mornings. Booking during these times allows me to give students my full attention and energy.
