About Jennifer
My name is Jenn. I’m an undergraduate working on my bachelor’s degree in journalism at The University of Texas. I want to be a journalist because I am overall a very curious person. I take interest in many subjects, but my greatest love has to be writing and words. It’s like every word is a stroke of paint in a composition, with all their own colors and textures.

I’m a journalism major because I have a passion for the English language and its intricacies. In this course, we would start with basic grammar rules and move into proofreading and copy. I encourage students of all grades to participate, because a proper grasp of grammar is invaluable.
I work as a copy editor for credit at The Daily Texan, The University of Texas at Austin’s most popular student newspaper. Because of this, I have developed a sharp critical eye when reading. In this course, I hope to share this skill with students to avoid lost points (or in our case, a loss of credibility) down the line.
