Each topic of interest should be approached by breaking it down into easy to understand pieces with particular focus on what the student is struggling with. I will always try thinking of different ways to explain something to help a student’s understanding. I believe putting knowledge into practice is another essential component of teaching, so exam style questions should be posed to consolidate the learned material.
I would describe myself as a friendly and patient person who is incredibly enthusiastic about teaching chemistry. I’ve had experience as a chemistry subject mentor at my college where I have better understood my teaching methods.
