About Samin
Growing up, I was too afraid as a child to ask for assistance from my teachers. I didn't want to make a fool of myself by giving the incorrect response, as I thought I would appear less intelligent than the pupils surrounding around me. As time went on, I came to the conclusion that the greatest thing I could do for myself was to ask for assistance. Once I had done so, I felt more comfortable asking for help from my teachers anytime I needed it, allowing me to become more confident in my studies. Soon, I was able to comprehend much more content, leading to an improvement in my use of knowledge and my grades. Now I want to pass my knowledge onto more students who are having trouble learning and are hesitant to ask for assistance. Each lesson is catered to the needs of the student, providing them with the best possible learning methods, allowing them to gain extensive knowledge on the subject as well as the confidence and optimism to do well in their exams. I aim to be a positive, outgoing teacher who is attentive, patient and compassionate with my all of my students as I believe these values really help them engage in their learning. I strive to pay individual attention to all my students, making them feel important and unique which in turn allows me to really comprehend their needs in learning. With my teaching strategies and resources, I am confident that every student I work with will not only strive to achieve top marks and the highest grades, but also obtain them.

My main goal is to make my students feel comfortable and confident enough to succeed in maths but also really engage with the content I provide for them. Typically, I begin by going through a powerpoint explaining the topic, providing the student with tips, tricks and hints as well as the steps to answer each question. In addition, I present worked examples with answers just before starting practice questions. I then introduce easy, medium, hard and extra hard level questions and go through them with my students, making sure they really understand the layout and method of the question as well as the topic as a whole. My typical length of a lesson is an hour long in which I go through content and application, however, I do extend the length based on the student and their abilities. With my current students, I provide them with homework every lesson based on the topics we cover that week. I have studied both GCSE and A level maths and have gone on to study it further in University, this has helped me not only develop my knowledge but also allowed me to challenge myself further in the field of mathematics. My lessons are for year 10-11 students who are currently studying maths GCSE however if there are year 9 students that want to prepare themselves for GCSE a little earlier, I will be happy to take them on my course.
