About Scott
My name is Scott, and I am a Physics undergraduate at Durham University, predicted a First Class degree. I achieved A* grades in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, and Physics at A-Level, alongside an A in Chemistry, so I know these subjects inside and out and I know exactly what it takes to perform at the top.
I was awarded the Pembroke College Oxford Prize for Academic Excellence and was selected for COMPOS, a highly competitive academic programme run by the University of Oxford. These experiences have sharpened how I think, how I communicate complex ideas, and how I approach problems, all of which I bring directly into my tutoring.
Beyond academics, I captained the Scottish Under 18 National Hockey Team at the 2025 European Championship. Leading a team at international level taught me how to stay composed under pressure, communicate clearly, and bring out the best in the people around me. I apply that same mindset when working with students.

I offer online tutoring in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, tailored specifically for A-Level students. As a Physics undergraduate, I have a strong, up-to-date grasp of the material your exams demand, and I remember exactly what it's like to sit those papers not long ago.
My lessons are built around two things that make the biggest difference at A-Level: plugging gaps in understanding and sharpening exam technique. Every student I work with has different weak spots, so I start by identifying exactly where they're losing marks before we do anything else. From there, sessions are a mix of targeted concept work and structured practice using past papers, so you're not just learning the content, you're learning how to demonstrate it under exam conditions.
Lesson lengths are flexible and can be adjusted to suit your schedule and what you're working on, whether that's a focused 45-minute session on a tricky topic or a longer revision push before exams.
All lessons take place online, making it easy to fit tutoring around school, coursework, and everything else sixth form throws at you.
