About Jake
Hi! I’m an Industrial Engineering student at Cal Poly with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and analytical problem-solving. I’ve taken advanced coursework in calculus, linear algebra, and statistics, and I enjoy helping others break down challenging concepts into something clear and manageable.
My goal as a tutor is not just to help you get the right answer, but to make sure you understand the process behind it. I focus on building intuition first, then reinforcing it with structured problem-solving so you can handle new and unfamiliar questions with confidence.
I’m patient, adaptable, and I tailor each session to the student’s needs—whether that’s catching up in class, preparing for exams, or building a stronger foundation. As an engineering student, I also like to connect concepts to real-world applications, which makes them easier to understand and remember.
