As a tutor I like to go beyond the base information and make clear the purpose and value of the information in math and science classes. If you work with me our lesson will begin with basic overview and addressing of the question at hand, and for a quick 3 minute period digress into the "why" of the topic at hand to ensure the information sticks with you. The priority of the lesson, however, is to apply the contents of the lesson into various forms of questioning to make certain that when the lesson is over you are a master of the information. As both a Student and Environmental Science researcher I have direct experience learning, testing, and applying mathematical and science-based questions. As a freshman in college I will be best equipped to aid fellow freshmen as well as anyone in a middle of high school education.
