I am a senior mathematics student with aspirations of working in domains of financial or applied mathematics. My interests pertain to those involving artificial intelligence, stochastic analysis, and topological data analysis.
I have learned that although one can read mathematics texts and expect to be prepared for an examination. But, results will tend to show that unless one practices the concepts they are not so familiar with, they will inevitably come back to haunt them on said examination. Thus, my approach to teaching will be to demonstrate the utility of concepts involved with a thoroughly explicit method of clarity in demonstration of solutions.
I have personally tutored students younger than myself for over three years now, with no more than two students at a given time. These students included my younger cousins and also other students in classes such as discrete mathematics.
Their progress was noted by their enthusiasm and increase in homework scores.
