About Ruby
I am a lifelong student of languages, and want to inspire a love not only of learning but also of communication, empathy, and understanding of other cultures. As a young person myself, I understand how it feels to be insecure, uncertain, and curious - I believe everyone has the right to develop their confidence, and often the first step in self-certainty is being listened to, supported, and believed in.

My approach is a student-led, conversational one. I prefer to build a rapport with students to familiarise myself not only with their strengths in the subject, but also the methods that they find most productive - and the best way to learn a language is through practice! I try to keep lessons casual and fast-paced: if there is something a student finds difficult, we will move on and look at it from a different perspective, because students engage more with a subject when they can see their own strengths and successes.
