About Jonah
Firstly- apologies for the very stoic profile picture! I promise I'm much more affable in person. As a starter, I'm actually a 3rd generation educator and can definitely understand the importance of a positive learning experience. I'm currently pursuing a degree in secondary education (grades 6-12), with a special focus on American history.
In general, it's my goal as an educator to figure out what works best for the individual student, whether through personalized structure or planning. This is primarily why I think my position as a student offers a bit of a competitive advantage, as I'd be able to better understand the expectations of a modern classroom.
I pride myself on not only understanding historical fact, but the larger historical context and its associated analysis, making for both a well-rounded tutor, and, more importantly, student.

For a bit more academic context, I'm an award-winning history student, placing in numerous regional competitions and being recognized with a variety of academic honors.
I've also taken and passed each AP social studies class offered to me at my high school, and was even named as my graduating class's "Outstanding Social Studies Student 2025". I love history and the art of teaching, which I hope is evident in the services I provide. From exam preparation to test-prep, I'm happy to help! :)
More recently, I've received a variety of letters of recommendation in regards to my collegiate work, notably from the program coordinator of secondary education at MSU (as well as landing on the Dean's List!)

I'm currently one of Jonah's professors at MSU and was a bit happy when he asked me about this recommendation after class. I've only known Jonah for half a semester at this point, but I find his interest and fascination with my class refreshing.
