About Jess
I am currently a music student at University level, specialising in classical singing, with a background in primary music education and experience in musical theatre tuition too. I love working with young singers to grow confidence and musicality, and work on gaining a basic level of musical literacy that will be useful in other areas of their musical lives. If you are interested in learning music theory with me, I have taken up to Grade 8 ABRSM theory and so can help with any issues, big or small. Whether working towards a practical singing or theory exam, or just wanting some musical expertise and fun outside of the classroom, my lessons can be tailored to you and your goals. Typically lasting half an hour, these lessons are aimed children in KS2 or early KS3 (school years 3-8) drawing on my experience as a classroom music teaching assistant and 1:1 tutor for this age group. I tutor in music theory up to ABRSM Grade 5 and enjoy working with beginner singers to give a strong musical foundation and improve performance skills.
