About Sarah
Hi! My name is Sarah Conroy, I am a rising Junior at Boston College studying Biology on the pre-medical track. I have done biomedical research at the NIH, and will be conducting cancer research at a medical school this summer. I achieved an A in organic chemistry I, organic chemistry II, and in the labs that supplement each course. I want to help students like me achieve their goals in this notoriously tricky class to stand out in future coursework and in applications. Outside of tutoring, I love running, trying new local cafes, and spending time outside!

My lessons are for college-level students who are currently taking or planning to take organic chemistry I or II. This can also apply to those who are looking to get a head start before their organic chemistry course begins. A typical lesson will look like reviewing course material and addressing any questions that arise. Then we will move into some practice problems. I love finishing a lesson with a couple synthesis problems that incorporate earlier course material so you can see how everything ties together and to help maintain necessary prior knowledge for upcoming exams. As a current college student I know what methods of teaching do and do not help students. Pure memorization is not the goal. Organic chemistry becomes intuitive and fun when you understand the mechanisms and the reasons why reactions occur the way they do!
