About Josie

I’m a psychology student who fell in love with the subject because it helps make sense of people — including myself. I didn’t come into psychology already “good at it.” I had to figure out how to understand dense theories, survive exams, and write essays that actually say something. Along the way, I learned how powerful the right explanation can be.

I want to teach because I know what it’s like to feel lost, overwhelmed, or quietly convinced you’re just not cut out for psychology. I am. And most of the time, students aren’t struggling because they’re incapable — they’re struggling because no one’s explained things in a way that works for them yet. Helping someone go from confused to confident is genuinely one of my favourite things.

I teach in a way that’s inclusive, patient, and flexible. I care about how people learn, not just what they’re meant to learn. If you want support from someone who’s been where you are and actually wants you to succeed, that’s me.

About the lesson

I’m a psychology student who loves helping people feel confident with the subject, not intimidated by it. I know how overwhelming psychology can feel when theories pile up and everything starts sounding the same, so I focus on explaining things clearly, in a way that actually makes sense to you. No assumptions, no judgement, no pretending everyone learns the same way.

I’m especially good at breaking down complex ideas, helping with essays and exams, and turning messy notes into something manageable. I’m very aware that everyone comes to psychology with different strengths, backgrounds, and learning styles, and I adapt how I teach to fit the person in front of me. My goal is always to make learning feel collaborative rather than stressful.
