About Katrina
Hi there! I am an Undergraduate Queen's Health Science student looking to tutor students needing help in Mathematics and Science. I have received the subject achievement award (highest average) for Mathematics 3 years in a row in high school as well as for Biology and Chemistry in my junior year. I have also worked as an educator throughout highschool, often tutoring my friends and family and working at institutions such as Kumon. I always try to create a rapport with students which allows them to feel at ease and build confidence in their own abilities through positive reinforcement. All while making learning fun, which is an important part in helping students grow and develop an ongoing passion for learning!

My teaching methods include using visual and speech aids to help the student to grasp concepts quicker. The online learning platform that I would preferably use is Zoom with an online whiteboard to visually explain concepts (ex. math calculations/formulas). A typical class setting would involve frequent student participation and questions to ensure the student has a solid understanding of the topics being taught in class. I offer to tutor any grade!
