About Dominique
During my High School years, I have often helped classmates in the 'less popular' subjects (e.g. Maths) and have received overall positive feedback.
I have then carried my passion for tutoring over to the German ABACUS institute, which helps pair private tutors with students who fell behind the curve. After working with the ABACUS institute for a little over 1 year, I am proud to say that my best student has improved his Maths grade from a D to a straight A.

I'm a professional software engineer & private tutor. I offer lessons to students of all ages, in Mathematics and Computer Science/Programming.
I mostly excel at helping students understand basic core principals of any subject, which they may have missed or not understood the first time, thus causing them to fall behind the curve. However, I am also perfectly capable of presenting completely new material in an easily comprehensible manner.
I work on the basis of "help me help you", meaning I expect students to tell me where they need help/what they want to learn, and I will take it from there. During sessions, I will first explain a new topic to the student, and then ask them to complete a basic task to show their understanding. I also provide useful background knowledge of the forces at hand, so students will not only learn how something is done, but also why exactly something is done the way it is.
In addition to my active tutoring sessions, I offer to create sheets with practice problems, so students can actively apply what they have learned, thus further increasing their understanding of the matter. This is completely optional.
