About Juliette
Safe to say learning new languages is my passion. I'm fluent in French, English, and Spanish; I know enough to get around in Chinese and Italian; finally, I started to learn Arabic last year. Learning each one of these has made me develop the best techniques to improve my listening, speaking, reading, and even writing skills. Obviously, practice makes perfect. But a good tutor helps :)

I am happy to teach young children the basics of French, by training their ear and practicing basic and intermediate conversation skills. For students who already have a background in French, I like to use short extracts from novels to engage with more advanced vocabulary and sentence structures. Typically, a lesson would last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the age of the student. I break down lessons in three steps: revision of words learned in previous lessons; grammar or conjugation; a short conversation aimed at writing down sentences I will use to revise new words in the future.
I have tutored my classmates looking to learn French back at my home university (McGill University) in Quebec, so I am open to teaching high school and college students as well as adults!
